I develop large-scale computing and data systems that support healthcare, scientific research, and privacy-driven technology. Over the last two decades, my work has consistently focused on bridging engineering depth with practical, real-world impact—whether in medical imaging, AI platforms, cloud-native infrastructure, or endpoint security.
I currently serve as the Director of Research Computing and Infrastructure in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCLA Health, where I lead the design, architecture, and governance of our research computing ecosystem. This includes high-performance computing, medical imaging data lakes, secure PHI pipelines, cloud platforms, and the operational foundations that enable translational and AI-driven research across the health system. My work involves both long-term architecture and hands-on system building, supporting clinicians, researchers, and scientific programs that rely on complex computing environments.
Prior to UCLA Health, I spent more than 20 years shaping privacy, security, and cloud engineering initiatives at Gen, NortonLifeLock, and Symantec. My contributions included architecting virtual identity services, building enterprise-scale VPN and anonymity platforms, developing anti-tracking and fingerprint protection systems, and delivering secure, cross-platform endpoint technologies used by millions of users globally. I also led several first-to-market engineering efforts—from virtualized browser isolation to behavioral detection engines—spanning Windows, macOS, mobile platforms, and distributed cloud systems.
Across these roles, I have remained focused on building systems that are secure, scalable, and resilient. Much of my recent work centers on medical data management, imaging informatics, and AI infrastructure, including DICOM workflows, clinical-data pipelines, GPU-accelerated compute clusters, and cloud-integrated research environments. I work with teams to define clear architectures, modernize legacy systems, and build reliable foundations for research and innovation.
If your organization is exploring new directions in research computing, imaging AI, data engineering for regulated environments, or infrastructure modernization, I welcome inquiries and collaborative opportunities.
